All of us are called to ministry on some level. God does not give us gifts so that we waste them. He gives us gifts so that we can each contribute to the building up of each other and the whole church body.
For some people, they may feel called to a special accredited ministry in the church, such as those below (click on the links to find our more):
- Trained Children’s and Families’ Ministers
- Licensed Youth Leaders
- Lay Pastoral Elder (who helps care for members of the congregation)
- Lay Liturgical Elder (who helps lead services)
- Licensed Evangelists
- Lay Pioneers
- Reader (who helps lead services, pastoral care, preaches, take funerals and helps with other significant aspects of church life).
Sometimes individuals are called to an ordained ministry in the church, to be a deacon or priest. These require a particular discernment pathway that is usually quite rigorous in order to ensure that this truly is the role that God is calling you towards. To find our more, click here:
