Everyone at the Box River Benefice has a responsibility to keep our children, young people and adults safe and protected.

We have Parish Safeguarding Officers in each parish whose responsibilities include ensuring that everyone who has significant contact with children or vulnerable adults is properly checked and monitored. They can provide advise and guidance on any safeguarding related matter. Their details can be found on each of the church noticeboards.
We work closely with the police and social services when specific concerns about children or vulnerable adults arise. Our Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, Karen Galloway, is available to support and advise parishes and individuals.
