Moving into a new home can be the most wonderful experience. To know that the house carries the positive energies of God’s blessing can make it even more so. The blessing of houses is a very common and traditional practice which can happen at any time, but usually when someone first moves into a new home. A house blessing can bring that sense of God’s loving goodness and peace at an exciting time of new beginnings. It can also be a positive reassurance if the history of a place is not known.
A more fervent blessing may also be requested to lay to rest the feeling of unsettling negative forces, which can be especially strong if the house has been used as a place to meddle in questionable psychic or cultic activity.
